Building a strong database is key to the success of your business, as it means an endless supply of clients. In order to achieve this, you need to be proactive.

One thing you may not have asked yourself is How badly do you want success? Sometimes, your heart’s just not in it and you could be subconsciously holding yourself back from sourcing new clients. It’s important you are honest with yourself – do you fear success? Do you fear stress? Or do you lack a keen interest in your industry?

If there are concerns you feel may be holding you back, it’s time to make positive changes. Finding the right person to take over the helm may be the answer, or your may prefer to introduce more elements you enjoy into the business.

It’s also essential that you listen to your customers. Are they happy? Are they referring you?
Determining these answers allows you to make changes where it’s needed.

It may be that you are lacking in customer relations, and you could benefit from increasing your skills in social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter – both valuable tools in keeping your customers satisfied.
